Arrival in Tirana International Airport. Private transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon in the city. Welcome dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Tirana.
After breakfast, we take a city tour of Tirana. We visit the main boulevard, pass by the government buildings, the Pyramid, Mother Teresa Square, The Opera House and National Art Gallery. We pass by the big Bazaar of Tirana. After we continue to a local agro tourism a few km out of the city. Here we visit the farm, enjoy lunch with traditional Albanian dishes with bio products of the farm. We try the local wine from the vineyards of the farm. We spend the afternoon in the vineyards and enjoying the views. In the late afternoon we return in Tirana for dinner and overnight.
This morning we transfer to Berat, an old UNESCO town. Guided tour of the city, where we visit the Castle, located on the top of the hill. People still live in traditional houses inside the castle's walls. Further we continue to the Medieval centre of Berat, where we will see a beautiful mosque, an ornate tekke, and stunning wood-carved balconies. Stroll through the narrow stony roads of Berat and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the old town. We will try some typical meals of the region. After lunch we will visit a local winery nearby the city. Visit the vineyards, cellars and enjoy local wines and snacks. Return to Tirana for dinner and overnight.
Today we transfer to the historical city of Kruja, which lays on a panoramic view on the top of a hill. Kruja is one of the most visited towns in Albania. We visit its medieval castle and learn about the history of the national hero Skanderbeg. Walk in the old bazaar, where we can meet the local artisans working on the handmade souvenirs. Lunch in a local restaurant near the castle and bazaar, with the traditional meals of the city. In the afternoon we visit a local winery nearby Kruja for wine tasting and snacks. Return transfer for dinner and overnight in Tirana.
Today we visit the coastal city of Durres, the most ancient city in Albania. The city is home to many ancient archeological sites and the Amphitheatre of the Roman Emperor Adrian is the most known, and the second biggest in the Balkans. We take a sightseeing of Durres and visit the Roman Amphitheater. Lunch in a local restaurant by the seaside. Further we drive towards Lalzi Bay, a coastal area where are located some of the main wineries. We visit one of the main wineries for wine tasting and snacks. Return transfer to Tirana for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, free time in the city before the transfer to the airport for the return flight.
